Mother of the Universe
when rejoicing in existence
- Holy Creator, mother of the universe,
unoriginate, living source of all that exists,
it is you who generates the life of all creatures
since you yourself, in the beginning and continuously,
supply the power of being within all being.
Mother-like, you freely chose to give life to all creatures
without calculating a return,
loving us inclusively,
delighting in our clownish ways,
joyfully uttering the basic affirmation:
It is good that you exist....
It is music to our ears.
We rejoice continually in your affirmation and hear it in our
hearts.
Creator Mother, singing, caring, freeing,
In you we live and move and have our being.
