Be a Blessing
- My wife and I are babysitting today. We are taking care of our friend’s one year old girl. It is such a delight watching her. Her smile is angelic, and her personality is so joyous that it should be continued on the next child. She is trying so very hard to walk and talk. It is clear that she has a lot of places she wants to go and things she wants to say. She has only just begun her life’s journey and yet I am already excited for her. I know in my heart that she will be a blessing to this world.
I think that all of us should aspire to that in our lives. We all should seek to be a blessing to the world around us. We all should seek to bring love and joy not only to ourselves but to all those we meet as well. We all should seek to make this world a better and more beautiful place for ourselves, our children, and our children’s children. We all should seek to become the person we always dreamed we could be: full of love, full of joy, full of kindness, full of goodness and full of delight. God showers us with countless blessings each and everyday of our lives. The least we could do is return the favor and be a blessing ourselves.
Start blessing the world today then. Bless those you see with your smile. Bless your work with your energy and talent. Bless your friends with your kindness and understanding. Bless your family with your joy, laughter, and love. Bless your enemies with your forgiveness. Bless your animals with your caring. Bless those in need with your compassion and help. Bless nature with your presence and protection. Bless everyone everywhere with your goodness and oneness with God. Fill yourself with all the blessings that God gives and then share them with the world.
