I See My Mother's Eyes
I see my mother's eyes
When I close my own
I can see my mother's cry
She is afraid of the unknown
I can see my mother's love
It is a gift from up above
I can see my mother's fear
It is because I am not there
I see my mother's sorrow
I hope there with be happiness tomorrow
I see my mother's heart
Big enough for two
I see her from a distance
I reach out and cry
Mom, I cannot get to you
Yet I see you in my eyes
Why are you so far away
I want to love you today
