Live From Your Soul
- I used to feel a bit of envy when I watched the birds flying through the sky. They seemed so beautiful, so peaceful, and so free. Watching them soar among the clouds until they could almost reach Heaven filled me with awe and a little jealousy as well. One wonderful day, however, I realized that my soul could fly higher than any bird if I only let it. Now when I see a bird gliding across the sky I send it my love and joy and allow my soul to fly with it too. My two feet may be still stuck on the ground, but my spirit will always be soaring to Heaven.
As much as these Earth-bound bodies mean to us and can do for us they are really only a temporary home for what is essential about us. What is essential will last long after these bodies are gone. What is essential is what lives and grows forever. What is essential is what gives us our wings. What is essential is the love, joy, and oneness with God that is our soul. The Bible says "The Kingdom of Heaven is within you" and it truly is. You can choose it, become it, create it, feel it, rejoice in it, and share it with the world. All you need to do is to live from your soul.
Take good care of your body then. Nourish it, exercise it, and treat it good in every way you can, but always live from your soul. It is that beautiful, glorious, and loving soul within your body that is essential. It is that fantastic, powerful, and joyous soul that gives you life. It is that delightful, happy, and caring soul that gives you wings to soar the skies and allows the Kingdom of Heaven to live within you. It is that eternal, wonderful, God-given soul that allows you to fill your life with love and joy and share it with everyone everywhere. Don’t keep that soul hidden. Don’t ignore its light. Let it out, let it love, let it shine for all the world to see. Let it share all the goodness, joy, love, delight, and oneness with God that it holds. Let it soar to Heaven and help bring Heaven to Earth.
