I know it may seem strange to some hearing this but it was in my mothers sickness that I learned my strength and established a more personal relationship with my Lord. From the moment she was diagnosed until her very last breathe, I remained by her side. It was a quick 6 months that God allowed me to share what would be the most precious 6 months of my life. I did not sleep much for I remained at the hospital to care for her around the clock. It was my request to the hospital and hers. During this time I found out just how strong my faith really was and I learned what a Friend I have in Jesus. I grew tremendously spiritually during this time. Often times my mother would ask me to pray aloud with her and when I would say to her I cannot, for I was too angry or hurting. She would then remind me that no matter what "Jesus love me". I would then find the strength to pray with her and for her. I learned the power of prayer during this time and became a strong prayer warrior.
