What's your spirit been up to lately?
My spirit's been up to the heavens
Taking my soul on a ride
Up to the ends of the rainbow
and the earth, and the sky
My spirit's been down to my inner being
Showing me the depth of my soul
Dragging my mind to a higher truth
Where love has no gender
My spirit's driven me to tears
Forcing, enabling, my brain
To surrender, release
And KNOW the power of love
My spirit's been living in me
Or at least trying, to live here and now
In each moment, yet detatched
Here. Yet not here.
My spirit's been in my fingertips
My head, my loins, my toes
Tingling, expanding, sweltering
As the power flows
My spirit, the rest of me sees now
Is always around and within
Guiding us, empowering us
As we live to love
