We say yes, when we want to say no. We keep
going, when we want to stop. We laugh when
we're sad and cry when we're mad. Some days
its all just too much. We're worn down and soul
weary.

It takes a concentrated effort to stay on top of
responsibilities. Duties at work and at home
demand a percentage of time and energy.
Relationships require upkeep. Time becomes
a precious commodity and there's never enough
of it on any given day.

Is it too much to ask for an ounce of joy, a sliver
of peace and a shred of happiness? No. It's far
too little. Everyone and everything suffers when
you go through the motions of your day in an
exhausted stupor.

You can't give until you're empty or 'do' until you
drop. Self care is not a luxury, it's a priority. The
quality, not the quantity, of what you give and what
you do, affects everyone in your life. They get the
best of you, or the scraps at the bottom of your
barrel.

We have human limitations that hold no shame.
The appearance of "doing it all" holds no weight if
there's no substance and sustenance in your life.
Reserve a slice of the day to regroup your thoughts
and refuel your spirit. Learn to say 'no', when
saying 'yes' shreds the last of your time and energy
to pieces.

You can give all you've got and live with the joy of
giving even more, when you remember to replenish
your reserves.

Completing one more task at the end of a hectic
day, makes you a more productive person.
Spending that time in quiet prayer, gives you a
more productive life.
