Different cultures, customs, language and dress,
add glorious color to this planet. The rainbow of
diversity presents a wondrous opportunity to
expand the small horizons of our own, familiar
worlds. All we know, is very limited, compared to
all that is.
A great injustice is done when the unknown is
faced with fear, labeled, made fun of, and used as
a breeding ground for contempt. Dank mold and
slippery moss invades the unused portions of our
powerful minds. We are creatures capable of great
knowledge and understanding. The introduction of
a foreign concept is a chance to put our brains to
good use, an occasion to learn. It isn't a reason to
fracture peace with a hammer of fear.
We may invest a lot of time educating ourselves
about something, only to find out we disagree with
it. But we understand it, and no longer fear it.
The root of hatred is fear. The root of fear is lack
of knowledge.
Take a walk on the road of knowledge. It will lead
you to many destinations of understanding and
open your eyes to beautiful vistas along the way.
