    Life Holds No Promises

Having floundered through life trying to determine which was the better route to pursue: spiritual, mental or financial rewards--my experiences now find me ready to live three more lives each of which would be dedicated to the sole pursuit of either spiritual, mental or financial rewards. Then, and only then, I might be in a position to have a valid opinion.

When I was in my twenties, I yearned to be a professional student and cocoon myself in the ivy tower world. When I was in my thirties, I concluded a successful life was measured in terms of financial success. The more recent decades of my life have brought me to the belief the spirit-centered life is the only one which has real value.

Now I am ready to validate my conclusions, but I need three separate life times to do so. Since that option does not appear to be available, I'm back to faith and trust again. Have faith in God's plan and trust His guidance to have led me to the proper conclusion without validation.

"Life holds no promises as to what will come your way. You must search for your own ideals and work toward reaching them. Life makes no guarantees as to what you’ll have. It just gives you time to make choices and to take chances and to discover whatever secrets that might come your way. If you are willing to take the opportunities you are given and utilize the abilities you have, you will constantly fill your life with special moments and unforgettable times." --Dena Dilaconi
