I wanted to dance...
As the early dawn painted in fire forced the blackness of the night
away...a new day burst into life in all its glow and majesty...
My eyes slowly fed my soul with
all this glory...
And suddenly something within me wanted to dance, Lord, wanted to dance...
As the early morning walked in, I heard the heartbeat of my home
as it got ready for another day...
Doors opening, water running, steps rushing up and down the stairs,
sleepy voices greeting the new day...
Something within me wanted to dance , Lord, wanted to dance...
As the afternoon pushed the first hours away, the child in me smiled
at all the love surrounding me...
My husband's care, my children's love,
my friend's thoughfullness...
An immense joy took hold of me...
Something within me wanted to dance, Lord, wanted to dance...
And as quickly as the day had risen and been , it was now behind me...
And reverently my soul acknowledged one more time
Your gift of life, Lord.
As I fell to my knees and prayed, thanking you , for yet another day...
I wanted to dance ...I wanted to dance...
Slowly, I bowed low to the ground...and raised my arms in praise...
As I repeated your name, Lord,
Something within me made me danced...and I danced...
And I danced...
