I want to be a Point of Light

Yesterday I was driving to work while listening to one of my favorite songs, “Point of Light” by Randy Travis. The words really made sense to me.

“All you need is a point of light, a ray of hope in the darkest night, if you see what’s wrong and you try to make it right, you will be a point of light.”

Now that is good advice. But as Randy continued to sing, he came to “Better Class of Losers”. Well, that is what I am not inclined to be!!! I do not want to be one of those HIGH CLASS people whose lives are shallow. I’d rather be with those who have faults and know it! Gee, I am the first one to admit that I am not perfect, I don’t look perfect, and I am not “well read”.

Brains, yep, got some.

Common sense, yep, got a bit of that, too.

Open to suggestion… most of the time.

But being judgmental and feeling superior to all is not in me. So you ask what was I inspired to do when my night was dark and I was searching for that ray of light??? I was inspired to write to my Spiritual Sisters. Ok, that doesn’t take much but, hey, we could always use a bit more faith in what we do and a little ray is all I needed.

Inspiration…… doesn’t matter where you find it….. the point is YOU GO FIND IT. Get on the Internet, turn a cyber page, look at the message boards and always remember you are not alone!
